Adventures of the Past 1 x 1: By Blu and Vice Like a Star @ heaven

There was a Great Forest, one that seemed to stretch on and on for eons. The trees were tall, and absolutely astounding to view in person, while the floors were littered with colored leaves and tall grasses. The weather often varied, but the most common was probably the sunny days, and rainy nights. Many of the creatures that existed upon this particular territory went unbothered - all, but one of them anyways. The single hybrid, that lived at the center of the forest, in an average-sized clearing, was anything but respected by others.

Hybrids were a hated race, and this one had done all she could for years, to keep her curse a secret. Hunting alone, she picked it up in her humanoid form quickly, never using her full wolf form, unless needed. She did have a smaller wolf form, that was often used by her as an animal-like disguise to others, keeping the form as small as an average wolf's, to blend in.

Though, to other beings that were more than just human - they were surely able to tell the difference between a wolf - and the one who took the form of a wolf. Unfortunately for the lone hybrid - her very blue fur, tended to give her away.

Currently, Blu was enjoying her usual time alone at the waterfall deep in the forest. It was small, and opened up into a pond, the water free-falling rather slowly, coming from the stream down-wind. She had traveled to this area as a small wolf, and had managed to shift, without another's eyes viewing her presence. Her favorite place to bathe and relax, the hybrid girl sat atop one of the rocks just beneath the waterfall, her long blue hair cascading down her chest and back. She hummed to herself as she enjoyed the feeling of the water, as her huge bushy blue tail flicked calmly while flopped over her waist. Long blue ears curled atop her head however, listening for anything and everything as she did so.

Vice inhaled deeply, allowing the cool night air to feel his lungs. He loved it out here at night, when the rest of the world slept. Sleep hadn't been easy for him lately. He kept having this strange dream of being surrounded by darkness. It wasn't a scary dream per-say, but he never managed to go back to sleep after he had it. Vice carried a long walking stick in his right hand and wore a simple pair of pants and shoes, he didn't bother with a shirt, why should he? There wouldnt be anyone around to see him. Even though he was young, probably mid to early teens, he was still well built, his body covered by toned muscle. He was in the middle of a growth spurt as well, already reaching nearly 5'10". But it was still easy to tell he was young by simply looking at his face. He had no beard or stubble and his shoulder length hair was an odd combination of brown and black. His piercing blue eyes looked about the woods slowly as he let his left hand drift towards the white dragon amulet he kept on him at all times. Its metal was cold beneath his hands, but it always made him feel safe somehow.

His head turned slightly as he heard the soft sound of running water. he was getting close to his destination. He loved the pond, something about how reclusive it was. He stepped slowly towards the the clearing, not trying to hard to be quiet. After all, this place was almost always deserted, so why should he bother trying to be quiet, especially at this time of night.

The hybrid's ears immediately detected the sounds of someone near. Curling almost into the shape of horns, her ears fanned and flared upwards, to pick up the direction of the sound - and from how far off it was coming. Slowly, she moved into the water, which was warm and comforting. Her eyes began to offer a slight glow, that the moonlit area just barely picked up. Deep beneath this section of the forest were heated mountains, some which exploded with lava - just further off in the distance.

Cautiously, the female looked around, watching the leaves on the trees. She stayed completely silent, and fought to keep her breathing low, as her heart began to beat faster with each passing moment. Who was there? She did not know, and the person was just far enough off that she could only barely pick up his scent. Her long blue tail wavered back and fourth in the water, her feet firmly implanted into the rocks at the bottom of the pond. Where she to be attacked she'd surely shift forms... but for now, this was a dangerous idea.

All that was left to do... was wait.
